I'm currently working as a game dev and simulation rapid prototyper in the AI and XR domain. In the Games and VFX Industry I would be considered a technical artist. I live on the bleeding edge of technology and technique. I really enjoy the creative energy found in hackathons and have attended over 35 of them. I love the work I do, I get to play and explore the future.
I developed these on my own as Parafacet
One of the interesting issues with passthrough XR that I wanted to tackle is a way to block out distractions with the use of blocker objects. You can choose a solid color or even import your photos to place around your space.
This is a puzzle bowling mobile game developed for android. It is the first game I have shipped solo and I learned an enormous amount. I learned about monetization with ads, integration with the google play store ecosystem and services. Overall I'd say it was a big success.
These projects were developed with my friends over at Bravelunch
An under the sea themed VR arcade shooter, where you need to protect your blobkins from attack and also sacrifice them to power your weapons. When designing the gameplay we decided that forcing player to make thoughtful decisions of a multi use currency was an interesting hook. My contribution to this game was the original prototype, weapon design and artwork.
This was BraveLunch/Theory Studios' first VR project. I was brought on to provide VR expertise, guidance, and a lot of 3D models for this project.
This is my first commercially released game. It came out during the first indie game revolution. We co designed the gameplay, but I was responsible for the graphics and most of the level design. It was an incredible experience that I got to share with a good friend. It definately show's it's age but I am very proud of it. We had over 100k downloads on a pirate website and have several super fans due to that. Although it was not commercially sucessfull it was sucessful in my heart.
